The electronic age means that you can use DVDs to pass and preserve your drills and training methods and philosophy. No more knowledge distorted by Chinese whispers. Motivate and encourage your students to train at home, or share your skills with the wider world. |

| Scripting In order to pass on your training methods clearly, you'll want to plan out what you say, and the video shots used in conjunction with any voice over. We can advise on scripting for free, or we can work closely with you to accomplish the most professional presentation. Even if you simply plan to ad lib, it helps if you plan out your shots in advance. Click here to download a free shotlist. Click here to download a document describing how to plan a shotlist. |

| Filming This is usually the most costly stage of the production process, and due to the relatively small volume of DVDs sold, is usually done in the dojo, with consumer cameras. This produces an adequate result, but if you wish to do something more professional, we can advise on studios, and we have professional cameras and film-makers at our disposal. ![]() |

| Digitisation and editing Transferring film onto computer for editing is straight forward, but when it comes to editing, it helps if the job is done by a martial artist who understands what you are attempting to convey.

| DVD authoring Although it may be tempting to think in terms of flashy Hollywood-style DVD menus, with animation, etc, excellent, user-friendly and economical results can be accomplished by exercising restraint. We can produce appealling DVD navigation systems economically.

| DVD replication Once your master has been created, you'll want to replicate copies to sell. Because of the numbers of units sold, it is not usually economically viable to produce retail-style silver DVDs with litho or heat printed graphics. Instead, it is usual to use writable DVDs, and print directly onto each one using high-quality ink jet.

| Graphic design In order to make your product look professional, you'll want a decent case, CD and possibly an insert design. We can handle the design and printing, or we can give the files to you to print as you need.
